Raj S. Inamdar – Founder & C.E.O.
Mr. Inamdar is the Founder and C.E.O. of Sorani Capital, which manages a real estate portfolio in the U.S. and India exceeding $500mm of AUM. Sorani is a co-sponsor of Silver Wave Equities LLC, which developed a $13 million, 25-unit, ~25,000 square foot affordable housing development at 1193 Fulton Avenue, Bronx, NY and is a co-sponsor of a 46-unit, ~50,000 square foot affordable senior housing development in Philadelphia, PA. Previously, Mr. Inamdar was a Partner of Indra Capital Partners (2007-2014), which structured the $300mm Four Seasons mixed-use project in Bangalore, India. He was a Principal at Red Fort Capital (2009-2012), where he led the $500 million capital raise for Red Fort’s Fund II and headed asset management oversight across a portfolio of 20+ projects in India focused on affordable residential worth over $5 billion. He is also the former Chief Investment Officer of the $400 million South Asian Real Estate fund (2007-2009), which focused on affordable residential development. From 2004-2007, Mr. Inamdar was a real estate development executive for Millennium Partners, a U.S.-based developer of mixed-use Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton properties. He began his career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley’s M&A department in New York. John David (JD) Walsh – Senior Director
Mr. Walsh is a Senior Director of Sorani Capital focused on U.S. opportunistic value-added investments and residential transactions in global gateway cities. He is the Managing Partner of Equity Standard, a real estate development and investment company with an expertise in mixed-use (e.g., multi-family and retail) value-added transactions in New York City and the Hamptons. An affiliate of Equity Standard is a co-sponsor of Silver Wave Equities LLC, which developed a $13 million, 25-unit, ~25,000 square foot affordable housing development at 1193 Fulton Avenue, Bronx, NY and is a co-sponsor of a 46-unit, ~50,000 square foot affordable senior housing development in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Walsh is also an experienced N.Y.-licensed real estate broker with a track record exceeding 50+ investment and residential sales and leases since 2004. In addition, he is a former University of Maryland varsity basketball player and founder of a global basketball academy (www.jdbasketball.com) that has conducted clinics in ten countries and instructed over 15,000+ children globally in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State. Mr. Walsh is an interim board member for the SoHo Business Improvement District and an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the University of Maryland’s ‘M’ Club. Sachin Garg – India Advisor
Mr. Garg is the India Advisor for Sorani Capital and was involved in establishing TriVeda Capital's investment and asset management operations (Sorani's affiliate) in India. Mr. Garg is an entrepreneur and has founded companies in the e-commerce and real estate technology space. He is an Innovation and Business Consultant to various companies in the online as well as financial services industries. Mr. Garg is also a Founding Member and Advisor to the GSF Accelerator & Investments. He is an active investor in early-stage startups across the mobile and internet domains and has previously funded IIMJobs.com, India's leading MBA job portal. Mr. Garg is the former Head of Business (3P), Product Management, Marketing & Analytics for Amazon.com in Seattle, Washington, where he focused on luxury consumer products. He began his career at Tata Consultancy Services as an Information Technology and Process Consultant advising multi-national clients in the USA, Canada, Ireland and India. Mr. Garg received an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Kurukshetra University in India.
